Any vacation to the Disney Parks is truly spectacular. But even more magical is celebrating a birthday or special event while visiting the Disney Parks. We have done a few celebrations on our Disney vacations and if there is any place that makes its guests feel spectacular on a birthday or special celebration it’s Disney.

Here are a few ideas to really make your celebration special in the most magical place on earth!

Wear a special set of Minnie ears, celebration hat or shirt

On a couple of our recent Disney vacations, we have visited within a couple weeks of either of our children’s birthdays. We have a special “birthday hat” that is worn by the birthday child during most or a portion of the trip. Not only is this fun for the child but the cast members really make a point to wish our child a happy birthday. Cast members really make a point to wave and shout a quick “Happy Birthday”. Often times many cast members have really made a point to help our children feel special by giving them a free birthday treat or cupcake. To make the birthday child really sand out, we usually use a fun birthday hat; but there are lots of fun design ideas for T-shirts or sashes. Also, the Minnie Mouse ear headbands are a great way to accessorize your celebration. There are many different types of celebratory ear hats or bands that have a fun flair for your celebration. Also, Etsy is an great place to find some amazing customized shirts, hats or ears.

Cast members really go to great lengths to make guests feel special for a birthday or other special occasion, We have had multiple birthday songs sung to our children. When celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, the cast members at Garden Grill restaurant in Epcot brought us celebratory glasses of Champagne and a sweet dessert. Below are a couple of videos we have saved from a few of these exceptional moments with cast members.

Get a celebration pin from guest services

The Disney parks have multiple versions of celebration pins that guests can request at no cost. Its a really neat way to celebrate any occasion. You may also write a special message or name on the pins. These can be picked up at guest relations in any Disney park and some retail shops. The resort hotels also typically carry them at the front desk. This a great, no cost way to commemorate a special occasion and wear with pride while on vacation.

Have a special meal or character dining experience

What better way to celebrate a birthday or special occasion than by having a special meal at one of th amazing restaurants within the Disney parks. Most restaurants will sing a birthday song and send a birthday card signed by some Disney characters. At Chef Mickey’s in the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World you may even bring a special cake to use for the celebration. Note, the Disney characters will not stand by and sing when candles are lit…it’s a safety measure for our very special friends!

Order a floral or gift basket to be delivered to your hotel room

Disney’s floral department can create an amazing floral arrangement or gift basket to celebrate a variety of occasions. They have many wonderful options from floral to gift baskets and sweet treats. These items can be sent to many hotel rooms across the Disney resorts.
